Leverage can be created with this jaw piece. The lower the reins are placed, the tougher the bit becomes. An ideal bit for horses that are very strong on the course, grasp the bit or walk through the hand. The eggbutt rings cannot move loose and therefore the help of the hand works more directly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bit offers more moderate lateral control. When pressure is placed on the reins the mouthpiece gives blocking effect in one direction and will work as a straight mouthpice. This bit is not suitable for unexperienced riders. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSweet iron will rust when in contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which will encourage the horse to take more contact. The process of rusting (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey. A sweet iron bit will develop an orange-brown rust layer on the mouthpiece if it is temporarily not used.
