Eggbutt The eggbutt is a basic bit with fixed rings and is therefore stable in the mouth of a horse. The rings cannot move separately from the mouthpiece, so your help works immediately. Depending on the type, thickness and material, an egg bunt has a sharper or softer effect. Because the rings cannot move loose from the mouthpiece, bit guards are not necessary. The eggbutt is recommended for young horses and for a rider with a normal hand.

Brass Rings The center piece of this bit features brass rings that encourage the horse to play with the bit, increasing the tongue activity. The horse will produce more saliva and will relax the jaws better.

Bradoons are always used in combination with a weymouth bit. It's mainly used in the higher dressage classes and only suitable for very experiencend riders. The rings of a bradoon are smaller than rings of a normal bit. The reason for the smaller rings is to create enough space for the weymouth. You'll need a double bridle to be able to ride with a weymouth and bradoon. This bradoon has a double jointed mouth piece and gives more pressure on the tongue than a single jointed bit.

Sweet iron will rust when in contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which will encourage the horse to take more contact. The process of rusting (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey. A sweet iron bit will develop an orange-brown rust layer on the mouthpiece if it is temporarily not used. This is easily removed by wiping it off with a damp cloth.

The bits of TRUST equestrian are ultra-Dutch. All bits are designed, developed and handmade in the Netherlands. Every day a team of technical professionals works on the production of the TRUST bits. Trust bits are composed with the greatest care and made of the best materials, the quality control and standard is therefore very high.

TRUST bits are anatomically shaped. The balance between shape, material and weight is constantly taken into account. TRUST bits are slightly curved so that they are better shaped towards the horse’s mouth. Because of this anatomical shape, the bit lies better in the mouth and the pressure is better distributed.
