The pelham jaw piece combines the action of a snaffle and a curb and bradoon. The bit has one jaw piece but can be ridden with one or two reins. If you choose to ride with one rein, a pelham strap is needed to connect the bit rings to the rings of the shanks. The pelham is a lever-action mouthpiece. The longer the shanks, the sharper the effect. The baby pelham has short shanks and has therefore a milder effect than the normal pelham. A pelham bit is mainly used for strong horses, horses with too little space in the mouth for two mouthpieces or horses that have to get used to a bar and snaffle. This bit is not suitable for the inexperienced rider. (Curbchain included).
The Inno Sense Medium Port is made of elastic plastic, slightly harder than Inno Sense Flexi Soft. The tongue arch provides more tongue freedom so that there is no pressure on the tongue but is distributed over the layers. This makes the bit ideal for horses with a sensitive tongue or horses that stick out the tongue. The Inno Sense medium port is slightly flexible.
Bits from the Inno Sense collection can be used for all horses, but are particularly suitable for young horses and horses with a sensitive mouth. The plastic used is FDA approved, which means that the material is non-toxic and contains no plasticizers. Horses ridden on an Inno Sense mouthpiece follow the hand easily and accept the bit quickly.
The bits of TRUST equestrian are ultra-Dutch. All bits are designed, developed and handmade in the Netherlands. Every day a team of technical professionals works on the production of the TRUST bits. Trust bits are composed with the greatest care and made of the best materials, the quality control and standard is therefore very high.
TRUST bits are anatomically shaped. The balance between shape, material and weight is constantly taken into account. TRUST bits are slightly curved so that they are better shaped towards the horse’s mouth. Because of this anatomical shape, the bit lies better in the mouth and the pressure is better distributed.
